This Privacy Policy applies to Escape Verity: Horror House (the “Game”), the mobile game published on Google Play under the package name kg.escape.verity.gp and on the Apple App Store under the bundle ID kg.escape.verity.ios by Kids Games LLC, which is also the developer name shown on both listings. Kids Games LLC is the controller responsible for the personal information described below and can be reached at support@kidsgames.top.
It replaces, for this Game, the general publisher policy at https://www.kidsgames.top/en/privacy-policy, which continues to apply to the publisher’s other titles. Where the two differ, this page governs the Game.
The Game is developed for Kids Games LLC by Isaev LLC, which operates this website and hosts this policy on the publisher’s behalf. Isaev LLC processes the information described here only as a service provider to Kids Games LLC.
What the Game does not do
Stating this first, because it removes most of what a privacy policy usually has to cover. The Game has no user accounts and no sign-in, offers no in-app purchases and contains no billing code, has no chat, no user profiles and no social features, and asks for no name, e-mail address, telephone number, postal address or payment details at any point. It does not request precise location, the camera, the microphone, contacts, photos or files. The Android build declares exactly four permissions and no others — internet access, network state, vibration for the haptics, and the advertising ID — which is the whole of what it is technically able to reach. Your saved progress and settings are written to the Game’s own private storage on your device and are never uploaded; deleting the Game deletes them.
Information the Game collects
The Game is free and supported by advertising, and it reports how it is played so it can be fixed and balanced. Neither of those needs to know who you are, and neither is given a way to find out. What is collected is:
- Device and technical information — device model, operating system version, language, screen size, graphics hardware, available memory, network type, IP address (used in transit, and by our providers to infer only a coarse country or region) and app version.
- Identifiers. Three, all device-scoped and none tied to your identity: the platform advertising identifier (the Android Advertising ID, or the IDFA on iOS) where the platform and your choices permit it; a random installation ID the Game generates on first launch and stores locally; and Firebase’s app-instance ID. Resetting the advertising identifier in your device settings, or reinstalling the Game, breaks the link to everything gathered before.
- Gameplay activity — which day you reached, which rooms you entered, which items you used, how a run ended, how long a session lasted and which ads you were shown along the way. These are a fixed list of event names with small numeric values; the Game has no free-text field, so no free text can ever be sent.
- Performance and diagnostic data — frame rates, load times, memory use and crash reports, including the point in the Game a crash happened.
- Advertising events — which ad was requested, whether it was shown, whether it was clicked, and the revenue an impression reported.
- Your consent choices — what you answered in the consent form, so the Game does not ask again and so it can honour the answer.
Everything in that list is collected automatically by the Game and its SDKs. There is nothing you can “submit” to the Game, because there is nowhere in it to type. If you write to us by e-mail, we receive your address and your message, and keep them only for as long as it takes to answer you and to keep a record of having done so.
Advertising and your consent
The Game shows full-screen ads between parts of the game and when it is opened. Ads are served by Google AdMob together with the mediation partners listed below, which may use the advertising identifier and the technical information above to select an ad and to measure it.
Where the law requires consent — in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — a consent form built with Google’s User Messaging Platform is shown before any ad SDK is initialised and before any analytics event leaves the device. Nothing is transmitted until you answer it. If you do not consent to personalised advertising, the Game continues to work and shows non-personalised or contextual ads instead.
You can change that answer at any time: open Settings inside the Game and tap Privacy options, which reopens the same form. The button is shown wherever the applicable law gives you that right.
On iOS, personalised advertising additionally requires your permission under App Tracking Transparency. If you decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt, the IDFA is not read and no tracking across other companies’ apps takes place.
Age and children
The Game is a horror game intended for a general audience of teenagers and adults — rated for ages 12 and over — and it is not directed to children under 13. It is not distributed through Google Play’s Designed for Families programme and it is not a mixed-audience app.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and there is nothing in the Game through which a child could volunteer any: no account, no name, no message field. If we learn that information from a child under 13 was collected in a way the law does not permit, we will delete it. A parent or legal guardian who believes that has happened can write to support@kidsgames.top and we will act on it.
Third-party services used by the Game
These are the services actually linked into the published build. Each one processes information under its own privacy policy, and each may receive the device information, identifiers, app activity, advertising events and diagnostics described above, subject to the consent choices you made:
- Google AdMob — Serves the ads and measures them. Includes Google’s User Messaging Platform, which presents the consent form.
- Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) — Usage analytics and crash reporting.
- Unity Ads — Advertising, through AdMob mediation.
- ironSource (Unity LevelPlay) — Advertising, through AdMob mediation.
- Liftoff Monetize (Vungle) — Advertising, through AdMob mediation.
- Meta Audience Network — Advertising, through AdMob mediation.
- InMobi — Advertising, through AdMob mediation.
- Mintegral — Advertising, through AdMob mediation.
- Pangle — Advertising, through AdMob mediation.
- DT Exchange (Digital Turbine) — Advertising, through AdMob mediation.
- Our own analytics service, operated for Kids Games LLC, which receives the gameplay, performance and advertising events listed above keyed to the random installation ID. It is not shared with advertisers and is not used to build a profile of you.
Mediation partners are used only when AdMob selects them for a given ad request, so a particular device may never contact most of them. The list changes when the Game is updated, and this page is updated with it.
How the information is used
- to run the Game, keep your progress and apply your settings;
- to select, deliver, cap and measure advertising, according to your consent choices;
- to find and fix crashes, performance problems and bugs;
- to understand how the Game is played and to balance and improve it;
- to detect fraud, invalid traffic, abuse and security incidents;
- to comply with legal, tax and app-store obligations.
The information is not used to make decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects, and it is never used to contact you — the Game has no way of doing so.
Legal bases, where the GDPR applies
Personalised advertising and any non-essential analytics rest on your consent, given through the form described above and withdrawable at any time through Privacy options. Running the Game, delivering non-personalised advertising, keeping it secure and fixing crashes rest on our legitimate interests in operating and improving a free product and in protecting it from abuse. Where a law obliges us to retain something, the basis is that legal obligation.
Sharing, selling and disclosure
We share information only with the service providers listed above, and only for the purposes described. We may also disclose it where the law requires it, to protect players or our legal rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets — in which case this policy continues to govern the information transferred.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising activity may nonetheless count as a “sale”, “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under United States state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. Where it does, you may opt out through Privacy options in the Game, through your device’s advertising settings, or by writing to us. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Your choices on the device
- In the Game — Settings → Privacy options reopens the consent form and changes your answer.
- Android — Settings → Privacy → Ads lets you reset or delete the advertising ID and opt out of ad personalisation.
- iOS — Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking controls the App Tracking Transparency permission for the Game.
- Uninstalling the Game removes the saved progress, the settings and the random installation ID from your device.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, to receive a copy of it, to withdraw consent, and not to be treated differently for exercising any of those rights.
To exercise them, write to support@kidsgames.top from the address you want us to reply to. Because the Game holds no account and no name, there is nothing to match a request against unless you supply an identifier: where you can, include your device’s advertising ID (on Android, Settings → Privacy → Ads) and the device model. Without one we may be unable to locate records that relate to you, and we will tell you so rather than guess. We answer within the period the applicable law allows. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Retention
Gameplay, performance and advertising events are kept only for as long as they are useful for balancing and improving the Game, and are deleted or reduced to aggregates once they are not. Data held inside Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics is kept for the retention period configured in those services. Advertising partners keep what they receive under their own policies, which are linked above. Correspondence is kept for as long as it takes to resolve the matter and to keep a record of having done so.
Security and international transfers
Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and access to it is limited to the people who need it. No electronic system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Kids Games LLC is based in the United States, and information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. Where personal information is transferred out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Changes to this policy
This policy is updated when the Game changes what it collects, when an SDK is added or removed, or when the law requires it. The current version always lives at this address, with its effective date at the top. Material changes will be described here.
